Celebration of the 56th Foundation Day of NSS at Government College, Rey on 24th September 2025
On the occasion of the 56th Foundation Day of the National Service Scheme (NSS), a special ceremony was organized on 24th September 2025 at Government College, Rey. More than 80 enthusiastic volunteers from the college actively participated in the event. This day is celebrated as “NSS Day”, dedicated to inspiring youth towards community service and social development.
The program commenced with NSS Program Officer, Mrs. Snehdeep, highlighting the importance of NSS. She emphasized that NSS not only instills a sense of social responsibility in students but also motivates them to become better citizens. She provided detailed information about the objectives and various activities of NSS. She also mentioned that this year, the college volunteers actively participated in cleanliness drives, tree plantation, and literacy programs.
During the event, students were taught the NSS clap, which they learned with great enthusiasm. They were also encouraged to participate in the VBYLD QUIZ and were given information through a PowerPoint presentation on how to take part in the quiz.
The ceremony concluded with all volunteers taking the pledge of ‘National Service’. They vowed to fulfil their responsibilities towards society and contribute to the development of the nation. Finally, Professor Neeraj Kumar from the Commerce Department extended his heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and students for their active participation.
